Your experience and insight are important in creating quality workplace policies. The Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA), on behalf of Tourism HR Canada, is conducting focus group discussions with tourism industry professionals about risk and protective factors for alcohol and drug use, employee accommodation needs, and policies on alcohol and drug use in the workplace. Your insights will help develop valuable resources that enable businesses to draft or improve their policies and procedures on substance use.  

We are looking for tourism professionals in the following areas: 

  • Accommodation
  • Food and beverage services 
  • Recreation and entertainment
  • Transportation
  • Travel services
  • Event management

We understand that alcohol and other drug use in this industry can be a sensitive subject. Therefore, we would like to give you an opportunity to discuss your experiences and observations in virtual, anonymous and confidential focus groups. 

The focus groups will be taking place virtually in March and April 2025. You will receive $75 for participating.
